1971/2016 Sea Craft 23 Classic
*Carl Mosley Designed and Bill Potter Built
*Completely restored in 2016
*This boat was redone here at Tarheel Boatworks in NC (Morehead City area).
*Boat was taken down to hull/glass inside and out
*Only coosa, divinylcell foam and core cell, biaxial fiberglass and epoxy used.
*New stringers (foam cored)
*Transom (coosa)
*Deck (corecell)
*Cap was removed and recored
*Reclaimed old growth teak used for window dressing and non structural accents
DETAILS AND EQUIPMENT
-2016 Suzuki DF300
-Only 220 Hours
-Stainless Marine Bracket
-Top speed is 50mph
-Cruise burn3 mpg at 30mph
-Tandem axle trailer with disc brakes (redone recently) w/Spare tire
-Custom live well and storage in enclosed stern
-Custom slide out cooler in beautiful leaning post with rod holders and cup holders
-Fold up footrest.
-Forward locker/hatch in Sea Craft step up as original, but redone
-Second Forward locker/hatch is huge
-Third hatch is insulated
-Rear hatch is large for good access to bilge pumps, etc.
-Custom fiberglass hardtop and radio box. Coosa inserts for outriggers.
-T-Top with rocket launcher by Custom Marine Fabrication in New Bern, NC
-Custom New Wire Marine Switch Panel
-3 bilge pumps with automatic and manual function.
-Garmin autopilot (2.0 pump-the big one).
-Standard Horizon VHF radio with “panic button”
-Two Suzuki C10 gauges
-Two Garmin GPS chartplotters with the long transducers: EchoMap dv74 and EchoMap GPS xs 71
-Horn
-Windless with separate battery switch and breaker.
-Mantus anchor, 20 foot chain and 300 ft anchor line.
-Lenco trim tabs with automatic retract.
-New 120 gallon gas tank (Sunshine tanks, FL).
-Canvas cover for console and Leaning Post.
-Saltwater washdown.
-Two AGM batteries.
-Battery charger (MarineCo Pro, dual battery, 10 amp) with console plug.
-Total rod holders 18.
-Deck was raised 2 inches. Absolutely no wet feet even with full live well and folks in stern.
-GEMLUX duckbill scupper system.
-White powder coated bow rail.
-Almost all hardware GEMLUX Stainless.
-Alexseal products used throughout the fairing and painting
-Bottom was taken down to glass (removed gel coat for inspection)
-Epoxy/Cabo/glass any irregularities. Reglassed entire bottom. 5 coats epoxy barrier coat.
-Petit Vivid white bottom paint. Never wet slipped.
-Boat has been rack stored inside at Harkers Island Fishing Center.
